It is often used as an eco-friendly alternative to traditional petroleum-based plastics because it is compostable in industrial composting environments. PLA and modified corn starch in accordance with the standards of ASTM 6400, EN13432, BPI (CERT# 10529115), and is fully compostable.

Its soft on the lips - unlike the metal ones, lasts without going soggy like paper straws, and best of all doesnt need washing every time I use it. Living with a disability straws like this are an essential, not a nice-to-have, but I dont want o be contributing to environmental pollution at the same time.
