PLA is a biodegradable plastic made from renewable resources, such as corn starch, sugarcane, or tapioca roots. It is often used as an eco-friendly alternative to traditional petroleum-based plastics because it is compostable in industrial composting environments. PLA and modified corn starch in accordance with the standards of ASTM 6400, EN13432, BPI (CERT# 10529115), and is fully compostable.
